15 and 16 August 2009 in Curitiba, Brazil the 8th International Congress of Integrative Medicine and 1st Congress of Bio-resonance, Bioelectrography and Radioestesy was held by Academia Sul-Americana de Medicina Integrada. President of the Academia Dr Roberto Cezar Leite welcomed all the participants of the Congress and in his presentation shared his approach to cancer treatment using wide spectrum of conventional and complementary technologies. Main idea of the treatment – is integrative approach to patient and healing the whole system, but not the particular organ. 23 doctors and scientists from Brazil and other countries presented results of their research and clinical observations. All presentations were very well accepted by the audience. Dr. Konstantin Korotkov presented two lectures: "New Electromagnetic Devices for Analysis of Health Hazards" and "The Detection and Prevention of Negative Environmental Influences on Health". After the Congress he was asked to make a special one-day workshop on the application of Electrophotonics (EPC/GDV) in medicine. Electrophotonic instruments are being successfully used in Brazilian medical Centers for 10 years. During the Congress President of the Academia Sul-Americana de Medicina Integrada Dr Roberto Cezar Leite honored Dr. Konstantin Korotkov with a special award of the Academia for outstanding achievement in the developing of new instrumentations and many years of scientific research in the field of Integrative Medicine.
