Expedition to Venezuela

From January 24 to January 31 Dr. Korotkov took part in the scientific expedition in Gran Sabana (Venezuela). During one week the expedition covered the distance of 50 km of the national park Canaima and mountaineered Roraima (described by Conan Doyle in his novel “The Lost World”). Dr. Korotkov carried measurements en-route using the GDV Compact and the prototype of a new instrument called “The 5 th Element”.

Experiments with “5 th Element” Sensor in Venezuela January 2005

INTRODUCTION

The principle of the Five Elements is one of the bases of Traditional Chinese Medicine together with Yin – Yang principle. Theories of the Five Elements emerged from an observation of the various groups of dynamic processes, functions, and characteristics observed in the natural world. Each Element is seen as having a series of correspondences relating to the natural world and to the human body. Fire, for example, corresponds to Heat and to the Heart. A pattern of interrelationships between the Five Elements is used as a model for the way in which the processes of the body support each other. These are defined mainly through the Sheng and Ke cycles. The principle of Five Elements was used in the construction of a new sensor.

Pilot study of the influence of climate-geography factors of the Solovetsky Archipelago on GDV parameters of human and test readings

The problem of detecting geo-active zones and their influence on the state of human at-tracts attention of both specialists and public at large. At the same time, instrumental studies of the influence of environmental factors and geo-active zones on psycho-physiological state (PPS) of human are very scarce.
The present study set forth two tasks:

• Testing of a group of volunteers under the influence of climate-geography factors by GDV-graphy technique;
• Analysis of test readings of dedicated sensors in geo-active zones.

Characteristics of the group under test: 13 practically healthy volunteers, (5 men, 8 women), 22-58 years of age. Blood pressure and pulse measurements were normal and did not significantly change within the test period.
Location: the Bolshoy and Zayatsky Islands of the Solovetsky Archipelago.
Time: July 16, 17 and 18, 2004.
Techniques used: GDV-graphy. A GDV Compact instrument produced by KTI (St. Pe-tersburg); battery-powered 12V, 4 A/Hr, a 3-microsecond pulse packet, 1024 HZ during 0.5 s was used. Recording of single BMP files was carried out with a 200 microsecond delay from the moment of the beginning of pulse pack feed.
Single BMP files (GDV images) from 10 fingertips of all subjects under test and a series of 12 GDV images of the 4th finger of the right and left hands with time interval 3 s were recorded.
Recording and processing of the GDV images were carried out using an ASUS computer with battery power supply. The autonomous work duration was limited by the capacity of the computer batteries enabling to make the recordings of about 500 GDV images during one ses-sion.
The working procedure with dedicated sensors included registration of test readings at cer-tain moments in the GDV program by recording a series of single images or a series in dynamic mode. Processing of images and extraction of parameters were carried out in the “GDV SciLab” program (made by KTI). The design of sensors is described in the Addendum. Weather condi-tions were recorded by electronic sensors by “RadioShack Corporation Fort North” (USA) and “Suunto” (Finland).
During the experiments the subjects did not take alcohol drinks and medicine.

Antarctic EXPEDITION

On March 11th a meeting with Sergey Om, GP of the 48th Russian Antarctic Expedition was held at the office of Dr. Korotkov Co. During 9 months Sergey used a GDV Compact in his medical practice and carried out research on psychophysical state of the winterers.
The experience of using the GDV Compact in Antarctic makes it possible to draw a conclusion that in the extreme conditions of the expedition where a sufficient amount of sophisticated medical diagnostic equipment for carrying out serious tests is missing, the GDV technique ensures a unique control and testing method of the energy state of human systems and organs based on interpretation of GDV-grams. The GDV instrument enables not only to evaluate the psychophysical state of a participant of the expedition in a simple, cheap and quick manner but also to predict the development of diseases, the acute condition of chronic diseases, etc. This instrument is invaluable in a stage of professional selection of specialists enabling to obtain, together with conventional methods, objective information on the state of various systems and organs of human.
General practitioners from the neighbouring Indian station “Maitri” expressed their great interest to operation of the GDV Compact.

EXPEDITION TO THE HIMALAYA MOUNTAINS and GDV MEASUREMENTS AT HIGH ALTITUDES

"The Hiamalayas, "Home of the Snows", the most impressive system of mountains on the planet, and for centuries the setting for epic feats of exploration and mountain climbing, are a world unto themselves, the home of ancient and mysterious cultures, where time and space have meaning unlike anything that we have come to know elsewhere. This is a land where spiritual presences hover and can be felt, where magic and reality, history and legend, are indistinguishable. There are lost valleys where genuine Shangri-Las can still be found, where one can take refuge and let one's life flow along, calm and tranquil. Here religious elements are common features in the landscape; mountains and nature herself are simply altars to the gods, and the personification of deities."

Marco Majrani. Himalayas.1994.

And we decided to go there, to the "Home of the Snows", having set three main goals to be achieved:
  • To see the wonders of high altitudes by our own eyes;
  • To test GDV complex operation at high altitudes;
  • To work in the Altered States of Consciousness at high altitudes.
All these three goals were successfully achieved.
Our 8-day expedition started from Katmandu, the capital of Nepal. We trekked in the Sagarmatha National Park and reached the Everest Base.
On April 30 nine Russian people were brought from Katmandu to Lukla, a mountain settlement at 2840 m altitude, by plane and helicopter. We started our first-day trip right away and managed to trek to Phakding (2610 m) within some 2,5 hours. At Phakding we stopped for night. Next day we trekked much longer (6-8 hours) and the route was much more difficult. Mountain track went up and up, to 3440 m above the sea level. Not all the members of our group were able to survive it. Next day came out even harder: from Namche Bazar, the capital of the sherpas – local mountain people, we moved up to Tengboche, sacred place of the mountain people, famous for its magnificent Buddhist monastery at 3860 m altitude. We spent a whole day in Tengboche, carrying out a lot of experiments, and next day by helicopter were taken up to Lobuche at 4910 m. But not really to Lobuche. The day was very foggy and the helicopter was not able to bring us up. What we had to do was to climb up 3 hours with heavy rucksacks in the cold mist and snowstorm. Two days we spent up there, most courageous and experienced of us climbed 5700 m. After having enjoyed exotics of the altitudes we started our 2-day was back.
At each place where we stopped GDV measurements were carried out. We were able to follow very interesting process: the physical and psychological state of the participants demonstrated significant changes with each altitude reached. Acclimatization procedure and altitude sickness could be well tracked, too. Unbelievable results were achieved testing Himalaya mountain people, the Sherpas. Their condition was 100 % different from ours with very bad GDV-grams.
As you understand, there was practically no electricity there, only sometimes we could charge computer batteries. The GDV Camera instrument was working only in battery mode and demonstrated quite stable operation.
At the moment we are processing materials of these measurements and hope that they will be of considerable interest.
Now we can assert that the GDV Camera instrument can successfully be used at 5 000 m altitudes above the sea level and maybe higher.
At the same time, in Tengboche, near sacred monastery, we performed experiments with Altered States of Consciousness and, namely, transmission of information from Nepal to Moscow. These experiments were successful, and from our point of view with the GDV Camera complex we stably registered Altered State of Consciousness of the operator in the process of transmitting information.
Now we are preparing a new, main expedition to the "Home of the Snows", which will presumably take place in September 2001. We hope that it will bring new results, and, moreover, that we again will experience spiritual unification and awakening with mountain forces, and will be enlighten by the mountain sacred air of beauty and eternity.
